New Foods
So, today I gave my little guys some new veggies. Specifically carrots and green peper. Miya couldn’t get enough of the carrots. When she finished her share off, she started nibbling on my finger xD. Wasn’t that bad, nothing is when you have ferrets. Except for hamsters. My friend has a possesed hamster. It has red eyes and likes to try and eat people’s fingers O.O. Scary, eh? Anyway, back on topic. Miya didn’t eat the peper though. She licked all the water off, but otherwise wouldn’t touch it. And as before, Jackie wouldn’t touch anything. Its just when I’m feeding it to her though, when she’s in her cage she eats just fine. Like little kids. Love the stuff that they shouldn’t be eating that often, hate the stuff they should, hehe. Anyway, toodeloo for now
Peace out, save the eath and eat cheese. See ya!
Miya and Jackie
Welcome to deh blog 8D. Pretty much all about guinea pigs, one of my favorite animals. I have two adorable guinea pigs, Miya and Jackie. I’ll pretty much just post about stuff I’m doing with them, and all that stuff.
Today I gave my guinea pigs a new food: apples. I had only really been giving them hay and their pellets, along with some vitamin C treats, so I decided to try to give them something new. I read up a little on what to give them, and out of all the foods listed I only had some apples, so I cut up a small bit of an apple, and hand-fed them. I haven’t done much handfeeding with them, so I thought this was a good way to start out. I started with Miya. The little girl couldn’t get enough of them! She demolished her share, and once she did, she started nosing around my hands, looking for more apples. Then I took out Jackie. She was the opposite. I put a little piece infront of her, and she practically ran away from it. I thought it might just be me, so I moved away a little, but she still didn’t touch it. I decided on just putting the rest of the apple pieces in their bowl, and let them eat from that. I’m planning on seeing if I can get some pepers and some cucumbers. Apparently bell pepers are pretty high in vitamin C, and I read most really like them. Also read that cucumbers are great since they have so much water in them, and on hot days, for them, its like us having a popsicle.
